In-Laws In Town

Today my mother and father in-law get into town to visit us. We are so excited, but especially the kids. They have been doing a daily count down. We want them to have fun and love the area as well as all the visiting itself.
But I am at a loss. I guess I have lived here for so long I don't know what would seem cool to do. When they were here for the wedding they did the zoo and the Smithsonion. They want to check out Harrisburg, I was thinking maybe some historical stuff in Philly possibly. People pour the ideas out. What are your most favorite things in the area?

Well, since you asked . . .
We like to do Hershey's chocolate world. Have you been lately? There's a fun ride that the kids would love. We also like to go to Intercourse to see stuff and this weekend there is Berry Days or something like that. Some people like to do Gettysburg. I have a CD that you listen to in your car while you drive around and hear all of the facts if you want to borrow it. I love philly and historical stuff. That's kind of the basics of what we do with visitors.

Here is a list of everything Shawn and I did on our honeymoon: Gettysburg, Lancaster (duh, your there), Hershey, the Baltimore Aquarium...I guess that's it. But Philadelphia is cool, take them to the liberty bell, and there is tons to do in DC.

I hope this isn't too late. I think Inner Harbor is fun and there is lots to do thats geared at different ages. In your neck of the woods check out the Landis Valley Museum(Lancaster), The Sturgis Pretzel Factory and Wilbur Chocolate in Lititz(also a cute little park there nearby)In Hershey there is chocolate world, but the gardens are also nice and the antique auto museum is kinda fun for adults. In good old Lebanon there is Union Canal and Cornwall Iron Furnace and the Ren. Fair has some Celtic celebrations going on. There is also Mt Gretna which has a lake with a beach and big rope swings. If they go to Harrisburg there is the State Museum and Strawberry Square along with some great places to eat and walk along the river. If you're going to Philly I also have some advice but I'm getting a little wordy-just call me if you still need to know.
