Fasnacht Day: A Sweet Success

They might be even better the second day. And for Lent (I know I'm embracing my non Catholic roots) I am giving up white bread and lying. So if you catch me doing/eatting either call me on it.

who gives up lying????? I'm laughing so hard!!!! I guess it's funny to me because I can't lie so I think it's funny someone has to give it up.

YUM!! I wish I were closer, so I could share! But I gave up treats for "Lent" so I guess it's easier to be far away from them!!-- But seriously, these last 2 posts look delicious!

You make me laugh so hard. I love you Mary and the things you say, you are so great :)!!! And by the way, did you make those doughnuts....tell me now how you did that if you want me to gain 100 pounds by next year. My second love is doughnuts and those look way too tasty. Recipe please!

OH MY HEAVENS, I am LOL at your boy kissing the TV over ALICIA, that made my day and that is definitely a re-tell story. AWESOME!

I think a little drool just fell out of the side of my mouth, because those look SOO good!

yeah, is that your mom's recipe? I need it if it is; we got some from maple doughnuts, but Peter said they just weren't the same as she used to make. and, yes, the lady at the checkout thought I was crazy because I'd never had them before!

YUM! I can't believe we DIDN"T have any! Fred normally drops off some= guess I need to provide them for my family. They look delicious! Hope you still have some left...?

Good luck with the whole catholic/lent thing- I should probably do the same for chocolate/PB, but I think I'd pass out from the anxiety. :)

I didn't have any fasnachts and I'm starting to be really sad about it. But then again I'm not really giving anything up for lent-I figure, I've given up alcohol and coffee for life-shouldn't that be good enough? Well I'm saying it is cause no way I'm giving up cheese or chocolate- no way.
